risk assessment by integration approach of FMEA and multi criteria decision-making in the interval valued fuzzy environment: case study hydraulic pump manufacturing industry
Authors
Abstract:
Abstract Background and aims: Nowadays with increasing global competition, companies apply several scientific methods to identify, assess and remove potential failures in production process. The main goal of this study was identification and analysis of potential failure modes in a hydraulic pump manufacturing company by using combination of interval valued fuzzy Analytic network process (IVF-ANP), interval valued fuzzy failure mode effect and analysts (IVF-FMEA) and interval valued fuzzy TOPSIS. Methods: First, potential failure modes of production process have been identified by applying opinion of experts. Then, failure modes have been prioritized by proposed method. Proposed approach applies the interval valued fuzzy ANP to determine the weight of each risk assessment factor and a combination of interval valued fuzzy FMEA and interval valued fuzzy TOPSIS for ranking the potential failure modes. Results: Totally, thirty failures have been identified. The first priority that was specified is inappropriate feed rate with number of 0.83 for relative closeness and the last priority failure is being large bush with number of 0.015 for relative closeness. Conclusion: The results showed that the proposed approach is applicable for assessing and ranking of failure modes. In addition, consideration of some issues like cost factor, interdependence between risk assessment factors and also modeling the method under condition of interval valued fuzzy uncertainty, affected on the final ranking of failure modes. SHAPLEY FUNCTION BASED INTERVAL-VALUED INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY VIKOR TECHNIQUE FOR CORRELATIVE MULTI-CRITERIA DECISION MAKING PROBLEMS
Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) has developed to cope with the uncertainty of imprecise human thinking. In the present communication, new entropy and similarity measures for IVIFSs based on exponential function are presented and compared with the existing measures. Numerical results reveal that the proposed information measures attain the higher association with the existing me...

The main objectives of supply chain management are reducing the risk of supply chain and production cost, increase the income, improve the customer services, optimizing the achievement level, and business processes which would increase ability, competency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Further, the process of selecting the appropriate supplier capable of providing buyerchr('39')s re...
full textA Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Approach with Interval Numbers for Evaluating Project Risk Responses
The risk response development is one of the main phases in the project risk management that has major impacts on a large-scale project’s success. Since projects are unique, and risks are dynamic through the life of the projects, it is necessary to formulate responses of the important risks. Conventional approaches tend to be less effective in dealing with the imprecise of the risk response deve...
full textBridges Risk Analysis in View of Repair and Maintenance by Multi Criteria Decision Making Method (Case Study: Babolsar Bridges)
Bridges built from any material and having any special shape will eventually show signs of wearing off; therefore, there are several factors in the kind and rate of such wearing off and its expansion such as atmosphere, flood, earthquake, overload, design quality, execution and kind of materials that will all reduce the functionality of the structures. Thus, maintaining processes and repairing...
full textInterval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation methodology for decision making with a prioritization of criteria
Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs), a generalization of fuzzy sets, is characterized by an interval-valued membership function, an interval-valued non-membership function. The objective of this paper is to deal with criteria aggregation problems using IVIFSs where there exists a prioritization relationship over the criteria.Based on the ${L}$ukasiewicz triangular norm, we first p...
full textA Novel Hybrid Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Model for Supplier Selection Problem (A Case Study in Advertising industry)
Choosing the proper supplier has a critical role in design of supply chain. This problem is complicated because each supplier may fulfills some of the manufacturer criteria and choosing the best supplier is a Multiple-Criteria Decision Making problem. This paper proposes a novel hybrid approach to rank suppliers in advertising industry and considers two new criteria to evaluate the suppliers in...
